Saving EMI Music Canada’s collection



EMI Music’s corporate catalog is being brought into the digital age by the University of Calgary. Many of the company’s musical classics, including master copies of bands like Queen, were recorded on tapes that are slowly disintegrating.

  1. How much is the university being paid? Do the taxpayers really need to fund such a lucrative business service? Too often university resources are corporate servants.
